Overview:

This programme series aims at providing teachers a better understanding on the Requirements of Basic Academic Attainments, and polishing their skills in teaching design and practice, thus enhancing teachers’ capacity for curriculum development.

Primary English Curriculum Development Training Workshops includes 4 workshops (total of 12 training hours). 73 participants in total.

Workshop 1:What is phonics and How to Teach Phonics？
To introduce what is phonics and how to teach phonics.

Workshop 2 :Teaching English through Language Arts Activities －Poems
To introduce the language arts activities that can support the implementation of “Requirements of Basic Academic Attainments in English Language for primary schools”.

Workshop 3 : Teaching English through Language Arts Activities－Songs
To introduce the language arts activities that can support the implementation of “Requirements of Basic Academic Attainments in English Language for primary schools”.

Workshop 4: Assessment for the Purpose of Learning
To introduce how to make use of assessment for the purpose of learning.
